When you purchase a PowerFAIDS license for five or more
seats, you automatically receive on-site implementation support
that helps you begin using
PowerFAIDS quickly and productively. You'll also
receive
training credits for use at our Reston, Virginia training
facility.
The goal of our Implementation visit is to help you begin
basic processing on PowerFAIDS, including but not limited to
data import, funds management, document tracking, and
possibly other duties.
Prior to our coming on-site for the Implementation visit,
you will need to complete the following tasks:
- Complete all installation activities, including
testing all servers and workstations.
- Read all PowerFAIDS documentation, including the
PowerFAIDS User Guide. Our most successful implementation
visits occur at those clients who have thoroughly read
their manual prior to the visit.
- PowerFAIDS will be installed with a demo database of
30-40 students. We encourage you to work with this demo
database prior to the Implementation visit. Working with
our product prior to the visit will help you identify key
issues for you and your institution.
- We strongly recommend that you provide your
Implementation Representative with as much information as
you can prior to the representative's arrival on campus. A
list of questions to get you started is enclosed as
Attachment A.
Non-packaged Implementation Days
If you purchased a PowerFAIDS single or three user
license, Implementation days are not pre-packaged with your
license. However, you may purchase implementation consulting
services from The College Board separately. Please contact
your Higher Education Solutions Manager for more details.
Scheduling
College Board staff will work with you to identify dates
for the Implementation visit. While we will make every
effort to accommodate your date requests, we cannot
guarantee that our schedule will permit on-site visits on a
particular day. Please also remember that the on-site
implementation visit cannot be scheduled prior to completion
of the tasks listed above.
