PowerFAIDS Administrator, it provides minimal instruction and guidance on how to establish financial aid processing and business rules in

Day 1
Getting Acquainted with PowerFAIDS:
A detailed review of system capabilities and functionality delivered in each of the
PowerFAIDS modules.
Working in the Student Module: An in-depth review of each student data sheet and its parts.
Navigating in PowerFAIDS: A demonstration of the most efficient way to retrieve student records and navigate in
PowerFAIDS.
The Financial Aid Cycle: A process explanation of tracking statuses and how they affect outcomes in student records.
Day 2
Adding Student Data to the PowerFAIDS Database:
A review of methods in which to add student data to an award year.
Creating Selection Sets and Working with the Data Dictionary: Instruction on creating selection sets and customizing the dictionary to create user-defined fields.
Creating and Tracking Communications: An examination of the Student module letter routine. Addresses criteria for generating letters, output options and identifies fields that track letter and communication activity.
Federal Processing: A review of fields evaluated during need analysis and how adjusting these fields affect student eligibility.
Day 3
Batch Processing:
An examination of batch routines available for updating and processing groups of student records.
EDE Processing: A description of batch routines supporting History Corrections and Pell Payment processing.
Standard Reports: A review of pre-defined reports delivered with POWERFAIDS and the reporting requirements they satisfy.
Loan Processing: A description of features that support FFELP and Direct Lending awarding and electronic reporting.
